Athena knocks down Thea but Thea then raises the map, prompting Athena to come closer to grab it. Thea attacks her and during the sword fight between the two, Athena claims that Malcolm spoke of Thea in the past and was always ashamed of her weakness. Once Thea arrives, Athena reveals to her that the map alone is meaningless - they also need Thea's blood. To draw out Thea and the box, Athena and her guild head to the city's gas plant and cut off the city's gas supply. Thea and the rest of the team use the opportunity to flee. Thea activates one of the traps that Malcolm built into his hideout, killing three of Athena's followers and wounding her as well. Athena then goes after Thea and Roy, defeating both and once more offering Thea to come with them. While Thea and Roy flee with the cube, Athena engages Nyssa and defeats her, claiming that Nyssa had the same stance during battle since she was eight years old. She promises Thea that she will be merciful and let the rest live if Thea hands over the cube, but the team decides to fight instead. They find a map hidden inside an encrypted cipher cube but before they can open it or flee, Athena and members of her guild show up. This leads to Nyssa, Thea and Team Arrow to head out to find the map and the power before Athena can find it. However, Nyssa interferes and saves Thea from Athena's scouts and tells her about Athena's plans for her. Since Athena believes Thea to be in possession of a map that leads to some ancient power, a Lazarus Pit, she sends out her guild to capture Thea. With her bomb, Nyssa brings down the Guild's hideout, although all of Athena's followers survive, and flees with the knowledge about Malcolm's inheritance. Both women draw their swords but Nyssa reveals that she also brought plastic explosives. While she talks, Athena recognizes one of her masked followers as Nyssa al Ghul and orders her to step forward. However, she reveals to her followers that while Malcolm prepared for their ascension, he also made sure that the journey could not commence without his own blood. Īfter her agents have located the heir of Ra's al Ghul, Thea Queen, Athena rallies her league. In March, Athena was informed that Thea had been located. Knowing they needed Thea's blood to unlock it, the guild began searching for her. Leading the Thanatos Guild and battling Team Arrowīy early 2018, Athena and the guild somehow came to learn that Malcolm's map was hidden somewhere in Star City. Determined to carry on her predecessor's legacy, Athena and the guild worked to find the map and Thea. įollowing Malcolm's death on Lian Yu, Athena succeeded him as leader of the Thanatos Guild. Malcolm refused to divulge the map's location to the guild until he could have Thea Queen, his daughter and sole heir, by his side. With the guild's help, Malcolm uncovered the existence of three other Lazarus Pits scattered across the world, which he documented in a secret map that could only be unlocked through his blood. Īthena and the guild remained loyal to Malcolm even after he lost control of the league to Nyssa, who disbanded the group. She became the guild's second-in-command. After Nyssa destroyed the Lazarus Pit, Athena was among those recruited into the Thanatos Guild, a secret group led by Malcolm which aimed to discover more Lazarus Pit water. In May 2015 after Malcolm Merlyn became Ra's al Ghul, Athena became one of his most trusted loyalists. Athena was among those who trained with Nyssa. 1.3 Leading the Thanatos Guild and battling Team Arrowīiography Joining the League of AssassinsĪthena joined the League of Assassins at some point when Nyssa al Ghul was still a child.I apologize if I am making a mistake, either in the way I come to report this problem of mine, or if the fault of being this way is mine, thank you very much to everyone in the community, and thanks in advance for supporting this problem. This problem is not related just to fire arrows (immaterial arrow is hitting Neutral 4 monsters, Megalith ID 1274 for exemple, he should recieve 0% damage from Ghost). (When using instrument, the elemental table was followed correctly). since when i've tried using the reverberation skill (up to date with Minstrel Improvement Project) this problems just show up using bow. This seems to apply only when using bows. How to Reproduce: hit with elemental arrow and compare to elemental % damage it should have doneįor exemple: Kaho (ID1072 is fire 4, -50% Fire Damage, 75% Holy Damage), he should not recieve any damage from a fire arrow, and recieve 25% reduction from a holy arrow, but comparing both arrow's hit he does recieve almost the same damage from a fire arrow.Expected Result: Arrows damage follow the element table.Result: Arrows damage seems to not work well.

I put it on like this and I want to take a brush and really brush this thoroughly into the joint. Okay, we are just now marking this back for our cabinet we’ll cut this to size before we glue this together. This is the defining moment of our project right here because if this doesn’t fit, we go back to start. We’ve done what I call a dry pit here we’ve assembled the sides and the top without any glue, just to see if our mirror back is going to fit. I am also using a stop block on the drill bit which will prevent the drill from penetrating too deeply into the cabinet side. In order to make sure the holes that we drill for the adjustable shelf supports are properly aligned and evenly spaced, I am using a drilling guide that I made from a section of 2 x 3. This, or something like this, we’ll use for a keeper and it’s just about the way I want it right there. Now to make sure that the rabbit that we cut in the back of this door frame is deep enough to accommodate this glass, I am going to test it here on a piece of scrap. Then on all four sides, we cut another rabbit, which will hold the mirror in the back. Then it’s just a matter of making repeated passes through the saw until the notch is completely cut out. We set the height of the blade so that it only cuts through half of the board. RON HAZELTON: Yeah, we could do a butt joint, but the rabbit joint is stronger, it gives us 50 percent more glue surface because of the shoulder right here and it’ll help a lot in aligning these two pieces of lumber when we put this together. JOHN LANZETELLA: Ron, couldn’t you just butt the two ends together without that? And then we’ll glue, we’ll glue this in place. This is called a rabbit joint right here, and this, so this is this side, and the top is going to set in, just like that. For the narrower cabinet doorframe, we use a push stick to feed the wood through the saw, this way our fingers stay well away from the blade. Now when you cut with the grain, we call that a rip cut. John and I cut all our frame pieces to length and then we rip each board to the same width. Like this, slide it very gently up to the block push it into contact here. So John, what we are going to do now, is set this in here. A simple jig attached to the saw’s miter gauge will do the trick. To make certain the cabinet is square, we must cut opposite sides to exactly the same length. This is going to be 36 wide, 24 high right? Now what is really important I am going to cut these down to their final lengths is that the two sides are exactly the same length and that the top and bottom is exactly the same length. Okay, I’ve rough cut the lumber to the matchings here. RON HAZELTON: Perfect workbench, perfect, sturdy. JOHN LANZETELLA: Yeah, my wife picked it up at a garage sale for $25. RON HAZELTON: Okay, John, I’ve got your drawing here, hey I love this, this is an old metal desk right? JOHN LANZETELLA: Yeah, oh yeah, out in the garage. RON HAZELTON: All right, you got a place we can work, set up a shop? JOHN LANZETELLA: Yeah, six inches, seven inches at the most. RON HAZELTON: Okay, so what do you think, something that comes out maybe six inches like that, big enough for the cars. We are going to go to a big screen TV so we need it to be about probably a good five feet off the ground. Ron, this is the spot I was thinking of right here. And it is just impossible to dust these things, you know, and that’s why I am looking to build a wall curio or some kind of a display case so that they pretty much stay dust free. JOHN LANZETELLA: I’ve been collecting cars and car memorabilia for approximately 30 years and over 30 years time, I mean the collection just grows and grows and finally it gets out of hand. All these cars are turning the Lanzetella house into their garage. But I had no idea it was in upstate New York. RON HAZELTON: You know, I always wanted to visit Greece. The Raw format files must be converted to DNG (unless of course, you created the DNG files directly in the camera, a trick most Leica, Pentax and Ricoh cameras can do). Using Raw images from two different light sources allows you to create a Dual Illuminate DNG Profile. Shoot two Raw format images of the Classic Target, one under sunlight and one under tungsten. Set your camera to capture Raw files and open the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 to the Classic Target. Eliminate the guesswork without sacrificing any creative options, and at the same time produce consistent, predictable and repeatable color output. More importantly for many photographers, this process allows you to attain consistent and repeatable colors from different cameras, even different brands. Using color profiles when post-processing images enables you to produce consistent results from shot to shot. This magic journey begins with a shirt-pocket-size ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 from X-Rite, a hardware-software combination that lets you create color profiles with just a couple mouse clicks.īefore you get Budget Panic, the hardware costs only $119 (order from Amazon) and includes indispensible Gray Card and White Balance targets in a virtually indestructible 3.5 x 5 inch hard plastic case. If you thought creating a color profile was difficult or overly technical, think again. Yes, YOU can quickly and easily produce custom DNG and/or ICC profiles of your camera’s response to scene lighting for consistent, predictable and repeatable results from image to image and camera to camera. Points are awarded based on the percentage of votes cast for each player. Each question is secretly posed to 2 players and then the rest of the players then vote on which answer was the best. This massively popular game poses leading and quirky questions to each player to which they need to come up with the funniest answer they can. The main headline for Jackbox Party Pack 7 is that Quiplash is back for the long awaited threequel. It’s a simple system that’ll get your party started in seconds. Select the game you want to play on the console, have each player head to the website on a mobile, tablet or laptop, enter the room code and their name and they’re in. Much like all of the previous entries, accessing the games in Jackbox Party Pack 7 is simple. Jackbox Party Pack 7, a collection of 5 titles, is the continuation of that trend with some returning favourites mixed with some experimental longer form games that are a lot of fun. The other innovation that Jackbox has been making is that they develop fun party games that also happen to be video games other than making a video game into a party game like so many others do. For the longest time, Jackbox Games have been lowering that barrier by making mobile phones (a technology that’s much more familiar to the wider world than a console controller) the primary input method. It’s most aptly demonstrated when you convince your family to play a party game with you, hand your non-game playing Great Grandmother an Xbox One controller and she holds it upside down without a clue what to do. For those of us who play games regularly, we probably don’t even see the high barrier for entry to these experiences. Party video games have always had one massive hurdle that prevents them from being totally mainstream – they’re still video games. If you've got a big Discord party lined up, The Jackbox Party Pack 7 can be picked up on Steam for £21.41/€22.49/$26.99.Another first class laughter rouser, Jackbox Party Pack 7 is fun for everyone (so long as they have the pop culture knowledge for it). Others might call it the best quarantine game in a Supporter post. I know it probably works fine, especially with all the crowd support offered up for larger, Twitch-streamed audiences, but this has always been a series about shouting over other folks in a cramped Dundee flat. I've never actually tried a Jackbox session online. There's always one, right, and it's almost always the one that relies on general knowledge. Finally, there's "pop culture guessing game" Blather 'Round, which I'm already calling as the duff one of the bunch. Some kind of collaborative, Wario Ware-eque minigame collection framed around a family of demons? I'm sure it'll make perfect sense in play. The Devil's In The Details, meanwhile, is hard to get a grasp on. Talking Points has you all putting together impromptu TED talks on whatever nonsense the game barfs up. Akin to something like Superfight, it looks like you'll each draw your own fighter and then be paired up in different arenas, with the rest of the party voting on who they think would come out on top. The standout, however, looks to be draw 'em up fighting game Champ'd Up. Headlining the pack is Quiplash 3, the third iteration of the fan-favourite prompt-driven punchline generator that arrives in a soft, claymation flavour this year. “While many of us disagreed with Gawker’s news judgment in this case, and many are ambivalent about Gawker itself, the issue here was a billionaire’s use and potential abuse of the legal process to drain a journalism outlet’s resources.” “You don’t want billionaires to be any final arbiter of press fairness - that’s just not democracy,” he said. Media analyst Dean Starkman, a fellow at the Center for Media, Data and Society at the Central European University in Budapest, said the bankruptcy was an “ominous development” for journalism. A Gawker-owned site, Valleywag, ran a number of stories skewering Facebook, which provided a big chunk of Thiel’s estimated $2.7 billion fortune.Ī spokesman for Thiel said he had no comment on Friday. Thiel, who co-founded PayPal and was an early investor in Facebook, has been a frequent target of Gawker writers, who have written unflattering pieces about his political beliefs and utopian goals. Only afterward did Thiel’s part in funding Hogan’s lawsuit become clear. Hogan still won a judgment for $115 million in compensatory damages plus an added $25.1 million in punitive damages. Gawker said the footage was newsworthy information about a public figure, and protected by the First Amendment. Hogan sued Gawker after it posted a video of him having sex with a friend’s wife. The New York publisher said in the filing that it has as much as $500 million in debt and up to $100 million in assets. Gawker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection about three months after Hogan won a lawsuit against the online gossip and news publisher. The move also allows Gawker’s web sites to keep operating normally, the company says. “With stronger backing and disentangled from litigation, (Gawker writers) can perform their vital work on more platforms and in different forms.” “We have been forced by this litigation to give up our longstanding independence,” Gawker founder Nick Denton said in a statement. The sale will help it fund its appeal against the Hogan judgment in a Florida state court. Lee had intended to rename the website “Gawker for Good,” with a plan to cover “positive stories about celebrities and sports personalities within the entertainment, sports and music industries.” He had been proposing to donate half of all ad revenue to charities selected by both readers and celebrities who co-authored the content.Gawker says it plans to sell itself to publishing company Ziff Davis, although other bidders could emerge during the bankruptcy court auction. One of the losing biders for the Gawker assets was Kevin Lee, executive chairman and co-founder of digital-marketing firm Didit. Goldberg’s winning bid for must still be approved by the bankruptcy court. New York-based Bustle Digital Group, founded in 2013, targets millennial women readers, attracting nearly 80 million visitors to its publications: Bustle, Romper, Elite Daily, and the Zoe Report. (In addition, the article with the sex video of Bollea was deleted from the Gawker site.) Under a bankruptcy court settlement for $31 million, Hogan - whose real name is Terry Bollea - is entitled to 45% of the proceeds from the sale of Gawker. Hogan successfully won judgments for $140 million in damages in the case against Gawker, which had published a sex video showing the wrestler in flagrante delicto with his ex-friend’s wife. Thiel actually had been trying to acquire the Gawker assets - with observers speculating he just wanted to shut down the website and its archives - but backed out this spring, evidently wishing to avoid unwanted publicity and legal costs. In 2016, Thiel was revealed to have funded wrestler Hulk Hogan’s invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against Gawker Media, along with two other suits. The legal woes led to Gawker filing for bankruptcy and the sale of six of the company’s websites to Univision Communications for $135 million in 2016.Ĭoincidentally, earlier this week Univision announced that it is exploring the sale of the former Gawker sites, as well as its stake in The Onion, with the Hispanic media company saying it will focus on its core business. has been dormant since August 2016, after it was sued into bankruptcy via three lawsuits funded by Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel, who was unhappy about a Gawker story that reported that he was gay. Right after ignition, one of the rocket’s five first stage engines failed. Which is precisely what we saw in the live video from the August 28th launch. The destructive failure of one of the rocket’s engines, captured in just four frames from the live video. We can further estimate that, at the time of liftoff, the vehicle’s thrust-to-weight ratio (TWR) must be quite low. Astra hasn’t provided detailed specifications for their current launch vehicle, but given how small it is and some back of the envelope math, we can assume it’s operating at a payload fraction of not more than 1%. The Space Shuttle only managed a payload fraction of around 1.5%, while the SpaceX Falcon 9 is capable of slightly more than 4%. In the aerospace community, this is often expressed as a booster’s payload fraction. Put in the most simplistic of terms, the “Rocket Equation” governs how much of a rocket’s liftoff mass is dedicated to propellant versus what it’s actually carrying. Even if everything goes right, which is already a lot to ask for, the physics that govern chemical rockets are particularly brutal. With so much attention on this unusual event, it seems like the perfect time to take a close look at how Astra’s latest rocket launch went, quite literally, sideways.Įveryone knows that sending a rocket to space is hard, but unless you’ve read up on the Tsiolkovsky rocket equation, you might not realize just how true that statement really is. You don’t have to be a space expert to know that the pointy end of the rocket is usually supposed to go up, but considering how smooth the maneuver looks, some have even wondered if it wasn’t somehow intentional. Naturally, the viral clip has spurred some questions. As they say, there’s no such thing as bad press. The surreal image of the rocket smoothly sliding out of frame as if it was trying to avoid the camera’s gaze has already become a meme online, arguably reaching a larger and more diverse audience than would have resulted from a successful launch. Had the company not pulled back their usual veil of secrecy, we likely wouldn’t have such glorious high-resolution footage of what will forever be remembered as one of the most bizarre rocket mishaps in history. There’s a certain irony to the fact that this flight, the third Astra has attempted since their founding in 2016, was the first to be live streamed to YouTube. It’s worth noting that it was the ground controller’s decision to cut the rocket’s engines once it had flown high and far enough away to not endanger anyone on the ground that ultimately ended the flight the booster itself was still fighting to reach space until the very last moment. In fact, that the 11.6 meter (38 feet) vehicle was able to navigate through its unprecedented lateral maneuver and largely correct its flight-path is a testament to the engineering prowess of the team at the Alameda, California based company. Instead of going up and then burning towards the horizon, it made an exceptionally unusual sideways flight before finally moving skyward.Īs you might expect, the booster didn’t make it to orbit. So in that sense, the recent launch conducted by aerospace startup Astra could be seen as the vehicle simply getting the order of operations wrong. It’s often said that getting into orbit is less about going up, and more about going sideways very fast. outline settings in the Apple Pencil section of Brush Studio Settings. While the main series eventually had the girls go off to college, it seems like the new season will bring them back to high school, but in a new town with a new set of bad guys to battle. After the fifth season, the show got a prequel movie in 2009, and then a sixth season in 2013 (which had a a promotional event at the Palace of Versailles, because it deserved it). Later seasons of Totally Spies! were co-produced with Canadian company Image Entertainment Corporation. Two decades later, fans still remember the series’ whole aesthetic, the iconic Y2K fashion and decor that just really made it pop. Every mission saw the girls presented with snazzy new gadgets, which while completely impractical and implausible, were absolutely cool. Totally Spies! emphasized the friendship between the trio and balanced the day-to-day high school hijinks with the action-packed spy shenanigans. Totally Spies was inspired by the early-2000s era of pop girl groups and Clueless, and fueled by a surge of female spy characters in that era, which turned the show into a generational hit. It followed three regular Beverly Hills high school girls - brainy Sam (Jennifer Hale of Mass Effect fame), plucky Alex (Katie Leigh), and fashionable Clover (Andrea Barker) - who are also secret agents saving the world. The show, which comes from French animation company Marathon Media, originally premiered on ABC Family in 2001, before moving to Cartoon Network. Is it season 7? A reboot? In an announcement of the revival, production company Banijay Kids & Family calls it both, but the point is: A new Totally Spies! will premiere on the network in 2024, before finding a home on the newly rebranded streaming service Max. The animated spy show Totally Spies! is officially coming back to Cartoon Network. Vivamus sodales nulla vestibulum rhoncus facilisis. Dialogue Isolate for reducing instantaneous type noise, or doing a strip and backfill (in RX you can select only parts or frequencies that you want DX Isolate to work on which makes it extra useful). You can always pair the DNS/WNS with a ERA or RX Voice Denoise or whatever too!īut really I use a ton of NR tools for different reasons and in different situations.Ībstentia DX for hums/ harmonic humming, and RX Spectral Denoiser for offline, surgical/complex broadband Denoising. So to give you that flexibility, you really need a DNS, WNS, or like a C4/C6 multiband compressor/expander set to do NR. Single Knob plugins don't really give as much control and you risk doing more NR than you really need to, just to deal with what would be an issue in mainly one frequency area. There might be an instance where you're listening to a scene and you think, hmm, the 6k region is really sticking out in the background noise for this scene or line, let's just pull down that band slightly so those frequencies are more inline with the noise around it. The reason the DNS 1 and WNS is used on films for real time noise reductions is because it allows you to work specific frequency bands/ranges. It's intended to be an additional tool with different use cases, such as during live broadcasts, or in a sound mixer's bag recording an NR version for dailies, editors reference track audio, directors feed, etc. If you don't have the money, or want your session to work around many studios/workstations, etc, then WNS as its replacement.ĭNS 2 is not a replacement for DNS 1. Personally, DNS 1 (over DNS 2) as the main real time denoiser. (We're talking best real time NRs in the mix stage right?)
